The great International Tennis returns to Salerno

The Tennis Club La Carnale located in via Lungomare Tafuri in Salerno (on the coastal valley of the hill on which the medieval fort called "La Carnale" is located), which was completed in the late 50s. Thanks to a targeted hoc contribution of the CONI that imposed as the only constraint to the provision of funding , there was a sports company duly recognized by the reference, FSN.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the stadium, the first international tennis tournament was organized that recorded the affirmation of the strong player Ceko Jan Kodes.

Many events of a national and international nature were later hosted in the sports facility; for the sake of brevity which we mention only a few such as the "World Championship of Tennis of Rotary International “the final four with the assignment of the title of champion of Italy for the event called "Italian Women’s Cup"; the international quadrangular for national tennis cat, Under 21, and numerous national open and/or category tournaments.

Finally, just before the blockade of the demonstrations imposed by the COVID pandemic, the Polisportiva La Carnale hosted the stage of macro-area center-south for female youth formations.
